Faces of Auckland Celebrates Community Art

100 people of all ages came together to draw self-portraits that were put on display for the whole community, thanks to ‘Faces of Auckland’, a project created in the self-expression and leadership programme by organiser David Poole. According to an article in Hibiscus Matters, the project took place at the Estuary Arts Centre in Orewa, and featured all of the painters drawing their self-portraits on portrait. With good weather conditions increasing turnout, people from three years old and up all came together to paint. The portraits were then put on public display for the next two months.
